Challenge

Assessit test, challenge, and evaluate Norway’s best young leaders through a professionally-based project with the leader’s/candidate’s learning in focus. Young leaders of the year have been conducted every year since 2009. It is based on solid international research, the results that have been obtained have been included in research projects and presented at international conferences.

As part of the project, a software was needed to handle the projects 180-survey and reports.

Result/solution

The multi-rater feedback-functionality of Effect IO was implemented. The leader (candidate), manager and coworkers (180-degree feedback) were invited to answer surveys related to the candidate.

Assessit gave Effect IO the job of setting up the survey and report. Assessit employees were project managers and sent survey invitations/reminders and generated reports from Effect IO.

The 180-degree reports were then used as an integrated part of the competition simulation and feedback process. Assessit consultants used the report to discuss with the leader the feedback results. This gave valuable information on how the leader was performing. In the end, the report results, together with simulation results and other processes was the basis for selecting the award winner.
